Let's turn the Big Red Green.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is committed to using resources wisely. That includes the energy the university consumes in its everyday operation. You can help by committing to reducing your energy footprint, whether it's by reducing artificial lighting, or by reconsidering that office refrigerator.
The Chancellor's Commission on Sustainability and the Office of University Communications have prepared this energy calculator that will add up your current usage, help you figure out where you can reduce your energy use, and help you let your office friends know what you are doing to help the Big Red go green.
Step 1: Evaluate Your Current Usage
Look around the room and mark the number of various electronic devices you find below. The actual wattage of each device may differ slightly from the options available and can be found on the device itself. Select the wattage that most closely matches your device.
Your Usage Summary
As you enter figures in the form, your usage will be analyzed tallied and summarized in this column.
When you are finished, a print out of the summary will be created for you to display.
