google analytics code in footer file?

Postby lsilberman » Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:52 am

I'm considering installing Google Analytics on my site, and the tutorial mentioned that you could just add the code to your footer file on a dynamic site and it would be included in all your pages.

It also suggested that you install the code just before the </body> tag, so that if the code crashed your page would still load.

I looked at the old template, and there are a couple of javascript codes after the footer information. Is it OK to include the google code in the footer file? It sure would make my life easier! Thanks!
