Can we use iframes in our pages?

I wouldn't say that you can't... but I tend to shy away from them.

Mainly for accessibility reasons since text browsers usually can't handle frames and iframes.
Most of the function of iframes can be handled using server side includes and the css overflow property.
If there are some complex situations that might require using them then I might suggest working with some others on figuring out how to do it in an accessible (or more accessible) way.

I dunno, just my opinion.

Why iFrames instead on server side include

Postby dsockrider » Fri Feb 03, 2006 2:58 pm

...I'm putting a blog within the iframe... I would just use a server side include but if you click the links inside of the blog it opens an outside page that isn't within our template. With iframes it all stays within the frame.
