Show/ Hide

Postby mmesarch1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:00 am

I am viewing my site with IE 6.0 When I click on the Show and Hide button on the navigation the only thing that happens is that the end of my navigation bar partially dissapears. I would have thought the entire navigation bar would shrink to just the navigation banner. Any ideas?

The show/hide button expands large submenus within the navigation...

A submenu with more than 5 items will automatically get trimmed, and a link to expand the navigation will be inserted.

This is by design.

Complete sub menus

So does this mean that it will shorten a sub men to 5 items and then show all of them when "Show" is toggled. Or does it mean that it will shrink it down to only main menu items and then show all sub menus in the other mode?

More on submenus

Postby rcrisler1 » Wed Aug 02, 2006 12:30 pm

A maximum of 5 items will display by default on any of the submenus.

If any of your submenus contain 6 or more items, the show/hide button will appear in the Navigation header; any submenus with 6 or more items will display the first 5 items by default, appending "more ..." after the fifth item.

Clicking the show/hide button will toggle between two conditions:
1) showing all submenu links
2) showing menus in their default state
