Aha... I see you've stumbled into the event publisher.
Welcome to my world. Keep in mind... a lot of this is in development right now... and multiple calendars is something that hasn't been experimented with a lot.
It appears that anyone with a blackboard account may use it, and I attempted to post an event for our department, but it does not display.
This is true... anyone with a blackboard username and password can log in, but events published in the main calendar are controlled by University Communications... this is the 'Main UNL Calendar' at
http://events.unl.edu/. The 'editor' of the main calendar will add your event to the main calendar if the event is a public event of interest to the entire university, and you wish to share it. We're going to add a checkbox on the form for "Consider this event for the main UNL Calendar," which should help this process.
Next item you'll be interested in:
Each person can have their own calendar in the system... your calendar is accessible from the address
http://events.unl.edu/calendarshortname/
Right now - your calendar is at:
http://events.unl.edu/cfielder2/ (We can change cfielder2 to something easier to recognize), but by default this is the user's login name.
But I can see that the event you posted is at:
http://events.unl.edu/cfielder2/2006/10/3/
The web adresses are structured so that events are easy to find by calendar name and date.
Keep in mind... the event publisher is what I would call BETA... but feel free to test it out and find out what's broken and what needs to be fixed and improved.
