Lost text hierarchy in content area

Postby caggens » Tue Sep 12, 2006 4:24 pm

In the conversion I am losing headlines, captions, etc. All text has the same hierarchy in the content area. Do I need to manually change the text styles on each page, or are there equivalent text styles that should automatically convert, but are not functioning properly?

Before: http://www.unl.edu/art/about.shtml

After: http://www.unl.edu/art/about2.shtml

In addition, the rotating promo images under the left sidebar appear pixilated and distorted. I did not have this promo on my old page, so I don't know where the images are located or why they are not formatted properly.

Thanks for your help.

We've recommended that people move their headings from the old classes to using semantic headings like <h1></h1> <h2></h2> etc .

Within Dreamweaver you should be able to search for all files that contain serifstoryheadnavy etc, and find all those instances.

The left random promo image has been altered in the latest templates. The file is located in your sharedcode directory, 'leftRandomPromo.js.' I would replace this file with the latest from the UNLTemplates.zip at ftp://wdn:1869@ucommdev.unl.edu/

That should get the images corrected. After that, feel free to replace the images & locations in the leftRandomPromo.js file to whatever you please... or you can also remove the leftRandomPromo code on the pages you do not wish to show it.
