Dreamweaver 8 forgets connection info (solution!)

When I experienced/resolved this problem on my own a while back, I figured it was a fluke. Today I discovered 3 other campus users who've been enduring the bug, so if anybody else is still putting up with it, here's your solution:

If you're using Dreamweaver 8 and it keeps forgetting your connection information, forcing you to re-enter your login and password every time you use it, update to 8.0.2 and that should fix it.

Has anybody successfully updated to 8.0.2 on Vista?

Last week my XP PC was replaced with a new Vista PC, so I'm having to redo the update/patch to make it remember my login info, and it just isn't working.

I've tried switching properties for both Dreamweaver.exe and the updater to run in XP SP2 compatibility mode and as an administrator, but no luck. The installer still acts like it works, and then when I open Dreamweaver, it's still 8.0.
