Is there any problem with using Google translate on UNL pages?

I don't see why not. PIESL http://www.unl.edu/piesl/ actually has some translated pages also (I believe they contract with a vendor to supply translation)... but the free Google translate is reviewed as one of the best translation tools out there.

Google Translate is our recommendation, actually.

We talked a while ago about offering a widget on all web pages offering translation, and decided to wait on an official Google API for that purpose.

The Google translation engine is not only good because it's free, though ... it's good because it's the best:
