Postby smeranda » Tue Apr 01, 2008 11:42 am

If you know of any student workers interested in web development, I have an immediate opening at the Office of Admissions.

Here is the job description:
This individual's responsibility is to support the Assistant Director for Interactive Media by developing and designing web applications for the Undergraduate Office of Admissions. This includes the main Undergraduate Admissions website and multiple other supporting sites.

His or her role will be to use the tools and technologies available to construct timely, professional, recruitment-based enhancements to all sites related to Undergraduate Admissions. This includes, but not limited to, using PHP, ASP/VBScript, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, XML and SQL. Tools available are Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash, among others.

In addition to new enhancements, this individual will also be required to make routine copy edits, enhance layouts with CSS, apply structure markup with XHTML and optimize photos and illustrations for web usage, among other requests.

This individual will need to be comfortable with project management by juggling multiple projects at once while delivering by pre-determined deadlines. Professional work-ethic is also required.

This position will work 20 hours/week. Compensation based on experience. Please submit resume (including URLs of past projects), and direct inquiries to Seth Meranda at 472-1530 or smeranda2@unl.edu.
