Using the templates with SSL (https)

Postby saltybeagle » Thu Apr 21, 2005 3:12 pm

The CSS UNL Templates (dated 20050421) now allow fully encrypted pages using
SSL.
[that means no more 'Do you wish to display the insecure items?' warnings]

To use the templates with SSL you must be using the latest version of the CSS UNL Templates (SEE Interested in using the CSS UNL Templates),
and have a synchronized copy of /unlpub/templatedependents/ on your server.
Contact me if you need help getting the files synchronized.

If you are currently using an older version (pre 20050421) of the Dreamweaver CSS Templates,
see this document for how to upgrade your templates.

Once you have the latest copy of the Dreamweaver templates, simply create a new
page using any template other than Liquid (liquid requires referencing the centrally
stored weather data).
The best suggestion is to use a template with no distracting sidebars. But if you do use a page with a left sidebar, you must remove the default left random image (88x88's) or change the leftRandomPromo.js to reference local files.

Save the page to your server, and that's all.
