recruitment messages on web pages

If we add a simple recruitment message to a web page, what are the guidelines we need to follow?

Is it necessary to use the Academic "N" by the message? Are we restricted with color/images? Are there guidelines available we can access...

This is on a UNL Cooperative Extension County Office Web site which is not utilizing the UNL template but want to make sure we are following appropriate standards. Thanks!
