Printing from Firefox

Postby jlantz2 » Tue Aug 23, 2005 10:51 am

Is there a certain length that a webpage should not exceed using the new templates? I am having trouble printing the full length of a webpage if it's more than a few printed pages through Firefox. Internet Explorer doesn't seem to have this problem. Actually, what it does is it shifts the content to the right, eventually running off the page.

Example: http://www.unl.edu/ous/opportunities/sc ... ript.shtml or
http://www.unl.edu/ous/faculty_resource ... ss97.shtml

Thanks.

uhh...

This is mind boggling... I'm looking into the issues with the print stylesheets and trying to see if I can do anything - but on the surface it looks like a bug in Firefox?

Its always easier to blame someone else... but I'll see what I can find out. Thanks for pointing this out.

Fixed..?
Reload & try printing again... I think I've fixed it. Evidently Firefox has some trouble with printing floated elements...?

There are still some issues with Printing in IE, which I think Jodi brought up at the last Web Dev Net meeting. *
When you print in IE, lines of text are getting cropped off at the right edge of the page. I'm looking into this as well. *

* Those have been Fixed as well.
