Design Group A redesign

Here is the .psd template we decided to work from on the redesign for Team A:

Some of the comments for consideration on redesign efforts discussed at our January 13th meeting include:

*Revert back to the standard UNL 'N' rather than the current one with the 3D effect.

*Move drop down shelf up higher to associate it more with the UNL header part of the template.

*Move the breadcrumbs down out of the gray area and into the main content space.

*Make navigation text all the same color if they are indeed all linkable items.

*Consider changing black level on navigation text compared to main body text so that there is some contrast. Also, might have some shading on navigation background to set it off.

*College Navigation positioning was discussed although no consensus was reached for what to do with it.

*Can some other aesthetic element be added w/o cluttering the design but maybe giving a slightly more dynamic feel to the site whether it's a rotating image somewhere or some type of additional simple functionality added to the design.

Regarding the red curved header background Derek explained that as the width of the page expanded so would the red curve until it reached the top of the browser viewing area.

Please bring any redesign efforts to our next meeting which is currently planned for February 10th at 1:00 pm in the Nebraska Union.

Here is my updated design.

Two notes:

-There should not be any commas in the left hand navigation. I had meant to put everything on it's own line, so ignore those.
-The search bar is missing on the shelf for some reason, but it should be there. It's not supposed to disappear when the shelf is activated.
