Smaller header for printing?

Postby Erin Paseka » Tue Nov 07, 2006 5:39 pm

I have some pages in the popup template that are frequently printed. Each used to print nicely on one page, but with this latest set of templates, I just can't quite make them fit, even after adding my own "@media print" css to condense the content. Part of my problem is that printing inserts a header--the N atop a UNL title line, then my site's h1/h2 title and tagline--and it takes up 20-25% of the vertical space on the page.

Suggestion: In the print header for the popup template (and possibly others), shrink the N to a height of half an inch or less and put the UNL title beside it on the same line. Would anybody object to that?

Thanks for the sugegstion, Erin. Actually, the same thing came up over here last week ... Kelly Bartling was printing out her news releases and had the very same concern. We'll get on it.
