Reworked Splash Image Treatment

Postby beck » Tue May 20, 2008 4:26 pm

I've reworked the CSS and a bit of the code to create a customized rendition of the Splash Page's story container. I've set it to fit into an image container and moved the story contents down a bit - we'll be using this at the health center to showcase various departments/news/etc in the near future. If this would be of any use to anyone else, feel free to take a look and download the revised code.

Take a look at the source code to see where to insert what into your pages, and all relevant files are located within:

The one thing I'd really like to implement yet is to cause the featured story to advance after a couple of seconds without the user needing to click through on one of the tabs. I get lost in javascript pretty quickly, and my little bit of tinkering has left me with nothing but errors. If anyone has a bit of time and would be willing to let me know how to add a "timing" option, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks for any help, and hope this can be useful for some of you as well.
