Bath Validator within the WDN Registry

The Bath Validator within the WDN Registry doesn't seem to be working. If you click on "validate all" it comes up completed but if you click on "view results" it takes you back to the beginning.

Unfortunately it fails because there are broken links on your site. There's a new version of the validator being worked on at http://validator.unl.edu/batch-dev/

When you scan the links it looks like on this page:
http://www.unl.edu/ous/student_programs ... 2809.shtml

you're linking to www.ftc.gov without the http:// in front of it.

Any progress on the batch validator? I checked a site using this validator: http://validator.unl.edu/batch-dev/

I tried to validate this site: http://engineering.unl.edu/aboutus/ and the validator jumps off to totally unrelated pages and never validates the 13 pages I'm concerned with. It appears the new validator doesn't work as needed.

At the official WDN registry, it appears the official registry is still linked to the broken validation system so I'm not sure how many pages actually validate or not. The old validator is trying to validate pages that don't exist anymore... how do we stop that?

That's certainly not correct. I would fix it and try again.

We need to verify the new validator works, and then switch to it.

Validate each page by hand like everyone else in the world does, contribute a fix to our batch validator, or wait for someone else to fix it.

The second issue is that your 404 page has a relative link on it.

So if the 404 page was loaded at http://engineering.unl.edu/baddir/ the batch validator sees a link to http://engineering.unl.edu/baddir/parents/index.shtml and then http://engineering.unl.edu/baddir/paren ... ndex.shtml and so on.

That is what is causing the batch validator to keep looking for files that are missing.
