Colorbox / Modal Box code help

Postby afranco2 » Thu Sep 30, 2010 3:20 pm

I'm trying to put a colorbox on a page, but have run into some trouble. (Here's the page.) Here are a few questions I had:

1) How are photos "grouped" into one slideshow? Are they just based on the folder/directory they're in? Or does the rel="example1" bit of code serve to group them?

2) What is the exact code I need for just one colorbox with the fade transition? With all the examples lumped together, I took the parts I thought were needed, but it's not working.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give...
Aaron

P.S. – Any plans to make a wiki page about colorboxes?
P.P.S. – I'm using Liferay, in case that makes a difference to functionality.

Thanks CanadianSuperSpy. You clearly are Super, as your name implies.

I've got this working to the point where the screen fades and the box comes up now, but the further down the rabbit hole I go, the stranger things become...

Behold. (click any image link)

Instead of a beautiful picture of a greenhouse, I get a random assortment of text garbage. Could this be Liferay's fault for the way it handles image/article addresses? (ie - this is Grouped Photo 1's address)

This is only a guess, but I think colorbox makes the img tag inside it's content area based on the file extention inside the href, since there isn't one it is confused.

But if you add a .jpg after the link it seems to still work.
