3.1 Preview and related issues

To preview a UNL templated web page using the new 3.1 revision templates, follow this link:

Our websites use the "zenbox" element on almost every page as a form of call-out. When I preview the site at this point, it removes the zenbox formatting. Is this just something the previewer doesn't handle yet, or do we need to use different markup for those boxes with the new design? As an example:

The right column should have two boxes, one red and one blue.

Also, where will we find the new Dreamweaver templates to use to update our own files? I don't work with the templates very often, so I'm not sure where these updates are usually downloaded from before they go live.

At the time of your writing, the zenboxes hadn't been ported over. They are moved now.

Also, where will we find the new Dreamweaver templates to use to update our own files? I don't work with the templates very often, so I'm not sure where these updates are usually downloaded from before they go live.

They'll be available in the same fashion as we've used in the past as a downloadable file. Still working on the exact deliverables.

I see that the zenboxes are displaying the styling now, but for some reason the "grid" setup from our existing pages is getting pushed to a really thin column on the right side, both in our staging environment and in the preview tool that you set up:

Is there something that's changed in the way the grids are used in the new templates? I'm using <div class="grid9 first"> as the initial, left column, then a <div class="grid3"> for the right column. Somehow it's showing the same compressed column on all pages using that method. Any ideas?

I was also wondering about the tabbed content:

Will tabs be hidden in the background, or will it just jump to lower sections from now on?

On this page, you have mix of the supported grid and the old, deprecated grid. Remove the old grid styles (which you have inside the grid3, thus causing the narrow column) and you should be good. Please only use the new grid.

Tabs should work as they always have. The preview tool may have some issue with the JS, so if you have the problem in a converted page please let us know ASAP.

Thanks for the note! I didn't realize our side column code hadn't been updated after the grid conversion. I have that issue resolved, but I'm still seeing the tabs without the automated show/hide functions. Here's the preview on our authoring site:

You should be able to access it from any campus/university IP address.

Yep, looks like a JS typo was discovered a couple days ago and has been fixed. An updated release should be available soon:
