Standard Content Meeting (Friday, March 17th)

Discussion of plan and activities involved in creating new look and feel for UNL website. Archived Jan. 17, 2007.

Anyone have a location we can be in on city campus?

We need at least a workstation and a big enough screen or a projected screen and someone to drive it.

Group Casual is available whatever time tomorrow.

Hopefully we can get people from the other groups to do it, make sure we include the ladies as well...

I would say, one less opportunity to actually design something will slow us down...

I believe that we should come up with the exact amount and look of content (as much as possible), so it would be nice to be able to walk out of a meeting with those general designs in place (and maybe customize headers and etc per individual design later)...

What does everyone think?

consistent content

Postby dsockrider » Fri Mar 17, 2006 10:44 am

Just using this message board is going to take a lot longer to decide on final content than just meeting for an hour or two. If were are not going to have this dictated to high us by the mucky mucks, we had better meet face to face to discuss this. I'm free to meet all day Friday, Monday and Tuesday.

I would do it here at EE&O, but conference rooms are booked for 2:00 pm today...

Anyone got anything available? I really think we should meet face to face like David said,

2:00 pm works just fine for me...

Union

Postby dsockrider » Fri Mar 17, 2006 11:34 am

Do we need a projector and computer to do this? If not, we could just meet in the Union at a table, it's pretty quiet this week. Aaron, you're in the Modern group correct? Have we heard from the Formal group if they're available?

Formal Group

I'll email everyone in the Formal Group to see who will represent them and see about a meeting time/place.

Greetings from Team Formal! Joel's been the head of our group, so he'd be our first-choice delegate. As for the rest of us, I think Angie and Brent are unavailable today, and I don't know about Vishal.

If Joel can't make it (or if 1 more won't be too many cooks in the kitchen) I can easily come over to the Union any time today.

How's sometime around 3 work for everybody?

If we can't find a place in the union, there are a few conference rooms we can use over here in the Alexander bldg.

good with me,

BUT...

Are you sure we shouldn't be driving a design?

My thinking is, less talk more work saves more time...

Instead of deciding: let's go with this, we just GO...

Then we could get that content and customize headers and such... I still vote for the way content looks to be the same, with exceptions on headers...

Let's find something out soon, I'll probably get something to eat soon...
