New Templates - UNL navigation across the top

Postby mmesarch1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 8:55 am

HI,
I am working on pull all the Nebraska Forest Service websites into one site and the State Forester asked me to use the UNL templates. However, he feels that the NEW templates are going to confuse our clientele with the "Visitor", "Prospective Student".....navigation along the top. Is there going to be a version that these navigations are going to be removed?

There will be an 'affiliate' template which entities related to the University can use, which is currently in progress.

Stay tuned here for more info on that when it's available.

More ... Affiliate Template

Postby rcrisler1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 5:07 pm

The affiliate template will be available to entities which have a marketing exemption but want to retain an association with the university. We'll need to discuss where the Forest Service fits; I suspect that the Forest Service might properly be part of that group.

Options for templates

Postby soni » Thu Aug 03, 2006 11:08 am

We have a tremendous need for a template for "content" (text/photos/graphs). Are there going to be variations of the templates available for this use.

I'm trying to find all of the new variations so we can start planning to convert our recent conversions to the UNL templates...can you help?

Currently, we're using the liquid.dwt for the home pages/major sections of the site - http://lancaster.unl.edu/

liquidnosidebars.dwt for many of the content pages - http://lancaster.unl.edu/pest/ants/Cants.shtml (example)

Our youth pages were being designed for the splash pages - but now we are waiting to see what is available for new designs.
http://lancaster.unl.edu/4h/goofy4h2.shtml (our youth test page)

Also, will the old templates be around for a while so we can continue to use until we get all these pages moved again?

Thanks for any help you can give! I've got some major projects I need to start on but don't want to begin until I see what is available.

If you need to call me, 441-7180 or scochran2@unl.edu

Am I on the right track?

Content layouts

Soni-

Yes, that's the resource we currently have. Please let us know if/where it is lacking, if there are other elements you need, etc.

Thanks Bob -

I'll know once we get started working in the new templates. Hope that is OK.
